The (BSB41415) Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety is a Nationally Recognised qualification that will assist WHS professionals gain a formal, recognised qualification within their chosen field.
The course allows you to pursue a career as a WHS Officer, WHS Co-ordinator or even a WHS Manager. It is targeted at those entering the industry to gain a solid understanding of WHS principles also targeting those at Supervisory level or those already currently within an WHS role. The course covers all information required to become a Work Health & Safety Officer within a workplace. It covers the required knowledge and understanding in areas of;
- WHS legislation
- WHS Risk Management
- Understand and deal with hazard identification
- Develop effective WHS Management Systems
- WHS Consultation Mechanisms within workplaces
- Implement OHS/WHS initiatives and processes
- Workplace Emergency and Incident Reporting requirements along with Accident Investigations.
Ten Units/Subjects required for completion of qualification.
BSBWHS402 – Assist with compliance with WHS laws
BSBWHS403 – Contribute to implementing and maintaining WHS consultation and participation processes
BSBWHS404 – Contribute to WHS hazard identification, risk assessment and risk control
BSBWHS405 – Contribute to implementing and maintaining WHS management systems
BSBWHS406 – Assist with responding to incidents
BSBWHS408 – Assist with effective WHS management of contractors
BSBWHS 407 – Assist with claim management, rehabilitation and RTW programs
BSBWHS409 – Assist with workplace monitoring processes
BSBCMM401 – Make a presentation
TAEDEL301 – Provide work skill instructions
Assessment will be by written questions and answers along with assignments for each subject studied.
FACE TO FACE CLASSES – One day per week for 5 weeks, at Miranda.
